The Chennai rainbow pride march will be held on June 27th, 2010 at the Marina beach. This marks the culmination of the month long pride celebrations.The March will take place on the service road behind the Labour Statue. Please assemble at 3.30 pm.
சென்னை வானவில் பேரணி ஜூன் 27 ஆம் தேதி மெரீனா கடற்கரையில் நடைபெறும்.கடற்கரையில் உழைப்பாளர் சிலைக்கு பின்னால் உள்ள சர்வீஸ் லேன்னில் மாலை 3:30 க்கு பேரணி துவங்கும். ஆதரவாளர்கள் அனைவரும் அங்கே ஒன்று கூடுமாறு வேண்டுகிறோம்

What is Pride?
LGBT pride or gay pride is the concept that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people should be proud of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
What is Chennai pride?
Chennai pride is an annual event celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) culture. Chennai pride demonstrates the strength and solidarity of LGBT community and also lends local visibility to the voices, struggles and cultures of LGBT people.
Why should I be part of Chennai pride?
If you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or queer, this is a great opportunity to stand together with the community and express to the society how proud you are about what you are. If you are a straight ally this is an opportunity to stand in support and solidarity to your friends and family. This is an opportunity for everyone to show the determination and commitment towards human rights and humanity.
Is it safe to join the pride march at the marina beach?
Absolutely. Pride march is conducted with proper permission from the police department and is a very peaceful event. Your presence at the march will help the society understand better that nobody is ‘different’ and everyone needs to be treated fairly and equally. If you are worried about revealing your identity, you can wear face mask that will be handed out during the march.
