Winning entries: Bengaluru International Queer Pride Photography contest 2011

Orinam.net is pleased to showcase the winning entries of the Bengaluru Pride 2011 photography contest, held in November.

The theme of the contest was In Public.

Prize III: “Let the world move on; we’ll find time to laugh, smile and tease each other silly” by Saina Jayapal from Bangalore, India
Prize IV: “The shades of rainbow fade as the sun rises” by Dileep from Chennai, India [Dileep is a member of Chennai Dost]

 

Prize V: “Getting cozy on a rainy day” by Dileep from Chennai, India

    well i honestly think that the first prize should be given to the 4th picture and the second prize to the 3rd one!! the clarity and also the point that it was so natural means a lot!! the moment you look at these pictures it just gives you that feeling!! that feeling of joy.. well that’s just my point of view!! but love all the pictures real good selections!

    the first picture doesn’t deserve a single prize at all. can’t even consider as ‘real’ photograph. even the ‘real’ feel inside that pic is lost because of some immature editing. guess the jury should go through all the pictures and make a sensible evaluation. picture no: 3 and 4 are pretty good. good work dillep.

    Thanks for all your feedback :) but yes, we had our parameters for judgements! and the picture which fit the theme the best won :) it was a collective decision and went through many rounds of selections :) all the pictures deserve to win first :) but we needed to choose one!
