Pride Walk in Bhawanipatna, Odisha: July 13, 2012

Bhawanipatna, headquarters of Kalahandi district in western Odisha, will have a Rainbow Pride walk on Friday July 13, 2012.

Writes Dambarudhar Sunani from the group Bhawanis, ” You may be aware that on behalf of Sampark, Bhawanis, a community-based organization working for gender and sexual minority issues is going to organize Rainbow Pride Walk, 2012 at Bhawanipatna on July 13, 2012.”

“The walk will start at 3 pm from Satyam Cinema Hall and end at Gandhi Park followed by a solidarity gathering and candlelight vigil. Individuals belonging to sexual minority populations from the districts of western Odisha and their supporters and well wishers are joining hands together to support the great cause.

“On this occasion, on behalf of Sampark we would like to welcome you all to join hands and extend your support.
