History:

The Chennai Rainbow Pride / Self Respect march has been held in Chennai since 2009 annually, except for the  two year hiatus (2020-2021) due to the COVID pandemic when many of the Pride volunteers were focused on relief work and resource mobilisation for this purpose.

The website chennaipride.net, hosted by Orinam, contains the press release, event reports, and media coverage, FAQ, and official calendar of events organized by the Tamil Nadu Rainbow Coalition and/or co-organized by its member organizations and collectives during Pride month.
