Orinam.net is a bilingual website (Tamil and English) associated with the Chennai-based social-support-arts-advocacy group Orinam. The site contains information on alternate sexualities and gender identities and resources for the public, media, healthcare, educational institutions, workplaces, and family members of LGBT people. Our voices – The Orinam blog features news and views, personal stories and creative writing by Queers and allies.

Mr. Anil Divan’s commitment to LGBT rights was a part of his broader commitment to constitutional principles and the rule of law.
Pune will host its first Pride march on Sunday, December 11, 2011, becoming the ninth city in India to have such and event.
We invite entries of feature-length films, shorts and documentaries for screening at the Chennai International Queer Film Festival 2013. Entries will be reviewed by a panel, and selections notified by 30 May.
The first two Tamil educational videos on sex education by Neelam Social, released in July 2021, feature an Orinam volunteer speaking on sex, gender and sexuality.
Drs. Rao and Jacob, in their editorial ‘Homosexuality and India’ in the Indian Journal of Psychiatry (2012), question unethical and unwarranted attempts at conversion therapy and call for physicians to provide medical service with compassion and respect for human dignity for all people irrespective of their sexual orientation.
